Getting to know your Falcons – Alan Braaflat

Booster Club News

When I asked our coaches about this next Falcon, this is what one Coach had to say, “For every one thing you see Alan do on the field, he does at least three things off of it that make us better.”

This year our players have had to step outside of their comfort zone. Without hesitation, Alan stepped up and helped lead team conditioning.

Alan Braaflat, Class of 2022. He is a well-rounded athlete, tells me he is playing Wide Receiver and Defensive Back this year. Last year he was also on the field as Quarterback and Safety, and he had at least one rushing, passing, and receiving touchdown.

Alan has been playing football since 2nd grade. He tells us about the play that hooked him forever: “My favorite play is from my first year ever playing football for Kent Knights in 2nd grade. I was playing running back and coach called a run play to me. I broke through the line, got past the linebackers, when I got to the secondary the safety hit me, but I didn’t go down. I kept running and then more and more players from the other team tried tackling me but I wouldn’t go down until I got in the end zone. Once I scored I realized it took almost their entire team to take me down. That was the moment I knew I was going to be playing football for a long time.” The picture below of the little guy in the dirty uniform is from that game.

Alan is thinking about becoming a pilot when in college and he also hopes to play football or track in college. Next Friday, March 12th, our Falcons will be on the field! Watch for this guy #1.
